Overview
AustinWeston Asset Management LLC is an opportunistic, value-focused investment advisory firm. We identify opportunities using a fundamental value investing approach in conjunction with quantitative and risk models to narrow down potential investments. We invest in assets spanning the corporate capital structure (common equity, preferred stock, and bonds), and in businesses world-wide. Our goal is to identify investment opportunities with a substantial margin of safety, trading at a discount to their real value.
At the essence of our strategy is Benjamin Graham’s concept of “Mr. Market,” whereby prices in the market fluctuate emotionally around an underlying asset’s real worth – sometimes trading at a discount, and sometimes at a premium to that value. To that end, we built proprietary models to help us screen for, and quantify investment opportunities where there is that very real disconnect between the underlying value and the market’s price.
We strongly believe that our flexible approach, proprietary models that identify opportunities, and risk management focus all provide for a superior methodology of capital appreciation and wealth preservation for our clients.
